He served as the head of the international law department at the Kohelet Policy Forum, and is a professor at George Mason Law School, as well as a Senior Researcher at the Heritage Foundation.
Although in 1934 Roscoe Pound lauded Kelsen as "unquestionably the leading jurist of the time", [2 ] the pure theory was rarely understood in the United States and Kelsen was never given a permanent position in a law school.
