Giovanni Evangelisti (born 11 September 1961 in Rimini) is a retired long jumper from Italy. His greatest achievements were the Olympic bronze medal in 1984 and three World Indoor bronze medals.
Lambruschini enrolled at the Argentine Naval School in 1942, and graduated as a midshipman in 1946. He was later named Captain of the Navy, and served in that capacity aboard the cruiser ARA General Belgrano. [1 ]
He won two medals, at senior level, at the International athletics competitions. [1 ] He participated in two editions of the Summer Olympics (1984 and 1988), and he has 31 caps in the national team from 1974 to 1991. [2 ]
On 31 May 2012 at Golden Gala in Rome, he qualified for the Olympics with his personal best of 8'22"62, for his first Olympic appearance in London 2012. [2 ]
V roce 2002 nejprve získal na halovém mistrovství Evropy stříbrnou medaili v běhu na 3000 metrů a poté v srpnu se v Mnichově stal mistrem Evropy v běhu na 3000 metrů překážek.
