Trebouxiophyceae dříve Pleurastrophyceae je třída zelených řas. Jsou jednobuněčné nebo vláknité s polysacharidovou buněčnou stěnou. Bičíkaté vegetativní stélky se vůbec nevyskytují. Rozmnožují se zpravidla nepohlavně zoosporami, někdy i pohlavně. Žijí ve sladkých vodách, na zemi, aerofyticky nebo symbioticky v lišejnících. Wikipedia
