Mark Cox (born 5 July 1943) is a former tennis player from England, who played professional and amateur tennis in the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s. He was ranked as high as world No. 12 on the ATP rankings, achieving that ranking in October 1977.
Cox was born in Springboig, Glasgow, and attended Saint Andrew's Roman Catholic Secondary School in the East End.[ citation needed] He then trained as an actor at Edinburgh’s Queen Margaret University School of Drama.
Mark Cox's position of choice is as a prop. Occasionally he paints miniature horses to add to his collection which is locally renowned as being one of the most impressive in the area.
