By constructing the programming language Simula Kristen Nygaard and Ole-Johan Dahl derived object-oriented programming. Each of them have been known for more than this.
Dahl was a professor of computer science at the University of Oslo and is considered to be one of the fathers of Simula and object-oriented programming along with Kristen Nygaard. [1 ] [2 ]
Simula is the name of two simulation programming languages, Simula I and Simula 67, developed in the 1960s at the Norwegian Computing Center in Oslo, by Ole-Johan Dahl and Kristen Nygaard.
Ole-Johan Dahl (12. říjen 1931 Mandal – 29. červen 2002 Asker) byl norský počítačový vědec. Spolu s Kristenem Nygaardem vytvořil první objektově orientovaný programovací jazyk Simula I (1961–1965) a později Simula 67 (1965–1968).
