John Alfred Pepys (16 April 1838 – 22 March 1924) was an English first-class cricketer active 1857–1869 who played for Kent County Cricket Club and MCC.
Pepys had already been created Baron Cottenham, of Cottenham in the County of Cambridge, in 1836, [3 ] and was made Viscount Crowhurst, of Crowhurst in the County of Surrey, at the same time he was given the earldom.
1601-1680. Samuel Pepys's father, he was born in Impington, Cambridgeshire but lived most of his life in St Bride's parish in London, off Fleet Street, where he had a tailoring business.
