Jeanne-Irène Biya (12 October 1935 [1 ] – 29 July 1992) was the First Lady of Cameroon from 1982 until her death in 1992, as the first wife of President Paul Biya. [2 ]
Chantal Biya was born in Dimako, East Province, Cameroon. [1 ] Her father was French expatriate Georges Vigouroux. Her mother, Rosette Ndongo Mengolo [fr], was a Miss Doumé pageant winner.
Germaine Habiba Ahidjo (11 February 1932 [1 ] – 20 April 2021) was a Cameroonian politician and nurse. She was the wife of the first president of Cameroon, Ahmadou Ahidjo.
Paul Biya is a Cameroonian politician who has served as president of Cameroon since 1982. Prior to that post, he served as prime minister (1975–82). He is among the longest-serving heads of state (excluding monarchs) in the world.
