Hennika Bucher Eide was born in Stavanger, Norway. She was the daughter of Henrik Eide and Ingeborg Sofie Bucher. She attended upper secondary school at Kongsgård in Stavanger, after which she traveled to London. [2 ]
Skjønberg started his career in the banking industry in Kragerø and Skien, but in his twenties he was discovered in the amateur theater by a dance teacher, who recommended him to Alma Fahlstrøm in 1913.
She also appeared in films. Bang made his film debut in Englandsfarere (1946) directed by Toralf Sandø (1899–1970). She played a social worker in Det brenner i natt! (1955).
