Stormoen made his stage debut at the National Theater in Bergen in 1934, and his breakthrough came in 1935, as Vingrisen in Nordahl Grieg's play Vår ære og vår makt.
Stormoen was thus central to the environment at Club 7 (together with Bill Mulholland), from where he produced and participated in the 25-years album (MAI, 1988).
Stormoen chaired the Norwegian Actors' Equity Association from 1913 to 1915, from 1921 to 1924 and again from 1925 to 1928. [1 ] During his first period the association successfully started giving matinées to increase its income.
Stormoen was educated as an engraver, but also participated in the dramatic society Bergens Dramatiske Klubb. He was a scenographer at the Trøndelag Teater from 1945 to 1948.
