Frederick William Foy (March 27, 1921 – December 22, 2010) was an American radio and television announcer and actor. He is best known for his narration of The Lone Ranger.
Foy performs the famous opening narration ("A fiery horse with the speed of light, a cloud of dust, and a hearty Hi-Yo Silver…." and recounts the story of how, for one broadcast, he subbed for Brace Beemer, who had laryngitis.
