Dwight Leslie Armstrong (15 September 1904 – 17 November 1984) was an American composer of hymns based upon texts from the Psalms and other books of the Christian Bible.
As Armstrong was not professionally trained, some of his writing lies outside of traditional harmonic part-writing, some of which the editors of the 1974 and 1993 editions of the Worldwide Church of God hymnals attempted to correct.
Mr. Armstrong was one of four men who bombed a building on the University of Wisconsin campus in Madison in 1970, killing one person and injuring several.
