Aleksandr Sergeyevich Nikitin (Russian: Александр Сергеевич Никитин; 27 January 1935 – 5 June 2022) was a Russian chess player, chess coach, theorist; [2 ] and Master of Sports of the USSR (1952).
Nikitin commanded a cavalry regiment during the 1920s and rose to cavalry division command in the 1930s. At the outbreak of Operation Barbarossa, he commanded the 20th Mechanized Corps in Belarus.
Between 1979 and 1985 [5 ] [2 ] [4 ] (according to other data, from 1981 to 1985), [6 ] [3 ] [7 ] along with accomplices Madina Shakirova and Anatoly Nikitin, he killed and cannibalized seven girls and women in Tatarstan. [8 ]
