Ahmet Tahtakılıç (1909–2000) was a Turkish lawyer and politician. He served as a member of the Parliament, senator and held various cabinet posts in the early 1960s. He started his political career in the Democrat Party (DP) in 1946.
Celal Yardımcı (1911–1986) was a Turkish politician who served as the minister of education and minister of justice in the 1950s. Being a member of the Democrat Party (DP) he was arrested and imprisoned following the military coup in 1960.

Of Hamsheni origin, [1 ] was born in Hemşin district of Rize Province in 1911. He spent his school years in Istanbul, and graduated from Istanbul Technical University in 1933.
